Our cozy cafe, named after a Slavic witch, has been a favorite in the Montrose area since 1975.  This converted bungalow has several indoor & outdoor areas for semi-private dining.  We recommend our beautiful Jasmine Room for private parties of 20 or more.  The room has space for parties of up to 44 guests for seated dining, and up to 75 for standing cocktail receptions.

Enjoy people watching out front under the shade of a century old oak tree, or dine on our veranda overlooking a lush garden complete with fishpond, waterfall & fountains.  Our restaurant creates an atrium-like feeling for diners, protecting them from the noise and heat of the bustling streets of Montrose.  Baba Yega has been honored repeatedly by local patrons and neighborhood publications for "the prettiest patio", "best vegetarian", "best sandwich", "best burger" & "best brunch".  We are also well known for having a complete bar with full dining service.  Our goal is to provide our guests with a wonderful dining experience, excellent food and attentive service.  We hope to see you soon.

Baba Yega is a thunder witch (the devil's grandmother) in Slavic mythology.
She is represented as a little, ugly old woman,
with a monstrous nose, long teeth and disheveled hair.  She appears in Russian, Czech & Polish folk tales as a cannibalistic demon
who flies through the sky in an iron caldron
and uses a broom to sweep her traces from the air.
